James Sandwich MD, MPH
James T. Sandwich, MD, MHP, is the founder and head physician of Fayette Area Dermatology. Dr. Sandwich is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at the practice’s three locations in Fayetteville, Griffin, and Zebulon, Georgia. He has more than 20 years of experience, caring for people of all ages and is devoted to providing high quality dermatologic care to underserved areas. His formal training includes:

Some of his medical school accomplishments include being a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, receiving the Ty Cobb Education Foundation Scholarship, and earning the Sigma Chi Foundation Scholarship. Dr. Sandwich has completed numerous professional presentations at medical conferences nationwide and maintains his advanced credentials with continuing education. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and the American Board of Dermatology (ABMS) and has published many research papers in prestigious medical journals. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD). Dr. Sandwich enjoys helping his patients improve the health and appearance of their skin and welcomes them to Fayette Area Dermatology.
Tiffany Alexander, MD
Dr. Tiffany Alexander enjoys practicing general dermatology. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in 2017. During medical school, she conducted research with the Dermatology branch of the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health in Maryland. After medical school, she completed her dermatology residency training at Duke University in 2021. She served as chief resident during her senior year. Throughout her training, Dr. Alexander has produced numerous publications and presented at several national meetings, including the American Academy of Dermatology. After residency, Dr. Alexander practiced at East Carolina University in North Carolina and was a recipient of the 2023 Patient Choice Award for providers. She has been featured in multiple local morning news segments as well as radio interviews and magazines to discuss the importance of skin health. Dr. Alexander is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the Skin of Color Society. She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, traveling, practicing yoga, and enjoying local festivals and restaurants.
Laura Bush DMSc, PA-C
Laura Bush is a licensed physician assistant certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She joined Fayette Area Dermatology in Fayetteville, Georgia in 2007. Her formal training includes:

While Laura started her PA career in emergency medicine and family medicine, she has been practicing dermatology for over 20 years. At Fayette Area Dermatology, Laura uses her expertise to evaluate and treat dermatologic conditions in patients of all ages and skin types. Her experience includes skin cancers, inflammatory skin conditions, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurative, keloids, hair loss, rashes, nail disease, pigment disorders, and superficial radiation treatment for cancer. Laura has been a servant leader in her profession by serving in numerous roles for over ten years. Many of her assosiations and accomplishments include:

Laura has continued to serve as SDPA Director at Large, Secretary/Treasurer, President-Elect, President and now Immediate Past President and Nominating Committee Member. In her role as the 2023-2024 President of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, she served nearly 5,000 members and professional colleagues. Through this prestigious role, she has grown professionally in many ways that will only enhance her commitment to providing excellent, up-to-date, compassionate care to her patients When not in the clinic seeing patients, Laura serves her profession and peers, travels, writes, and enjoys spending time with her family.
Brittni Chitwood PA-C
Brittni Chitwood is a Georgia licensed and NCCPA certified physician assistant (PA) who joined Fayette Area Dermatology in 2021. She graduated with a Masters of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from South University’s Physician Assistant program in 2018. Brittni focuses on the clinical diagnosis of diseases and cancers of the skin, hair, and nails. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and skin types. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), and Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants (GDPA). She enjoys travel, the outdoors, and most of all, spending time with her husband and son. She strives to provide excellent, compassionate, and up-to-date care for her patients.
Jessica Luong, PA-C
Jessica Quyen Luong is a Georgia-licensed and a National Comission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certified physician assistant (PA) who joined Fayette Area Dermatology in 2025. She graduated with a Masters of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South College of Atlanta in 2024 and a Bachelors of Science in Biology, magna cum laude and with departmental honors, from Centenary College of Louisiana in 2018.
Jessica is an active member of the following physician assistant organizations: American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), Georgia Association of Physician Assistants (GAPA), the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), and the Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants (GDPA). With a focus on clinical diagnoses and treatments of the disorders of skin, hair, and nails, Jessica works alongside Dr. Sandwich to see patients in the clinic.
She is passionate about providing patients with the tools to navigate their skin conditions in order to live their best lives without shame. She seeks to give patients the same empathetic care and strength she received from caring dermatologists for her chronic atopic dermatitis when she was younger. Outside of dermatology, Jessica enjoys cooking, home organization, snorkeling, and bad karaoke at home with her friends. She has a soft spot for love stories and the progress people achieve in their lives.
